My name's Steve Sousek. I'm a producer and musician based out of San Diego, CA. Having been playing in bands since the beginning of musical career, I was able to submerge myself in a culture which allowed me to develop my abilities on multiple instruments. I now produce music under the moniker BISQA, and plan to release an EP later this year.
Specialized in sound editing, I graduated with a BA in Sound Engineering/Music Production from SAE Oxford and more recently with a MSc in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh. I'm an all-around engineer and I work on all kinds of projects: music, films, videogames...
Recording is not just about the end product, It's also about the journey getting there. Having me on your project, whether in a mixing, engineering, or producing capacity will not only make you extremely satisfied with the product, but you will be inspired and excited about how it came to be. I can make a guitar track or arrangements for a wide variety of instruments, my degree in popular music is oriented towards nylon fingerstyle guitar, but I have played and recorded rock, blues, jazz, bossa, among others.
I am looking to work with other like-minded musicians, by assisting them in any production jobs that need to be done. No job is too small, need your project managing? maybe your audio needs chopping and fades added? I can do that for you. Bigger jobs are also welcome like song creation and mixing of existing material.
