Zach Carlson a.k.a. Famous Friend is an ASCAP award-winning Los Angeles-based writer/producer/mixer. Zach has worked w artists such as Winnetka Bowling League, Casket Cassette, Nashon, and Alle the Dreamer as well as scoring the Emmy-Nominated Netflix show Alexa & Katie. Zach also has a successful indie solo project called Famous Friend.

An emphasis on REAL - I strive to keep the techniques of the 70's-90's alive with organic and honest mixing in a console based way. Mixes that have made bands like Nirvana, Oasis, Black Sabbath and Foo Fighters sound like the bands they are. If the source is good, the mixes will be great!

Music should never be black and white. The best records are vibrant — full of emotion, movement, and colour. My goal as a mix engineer is to bring that colour out of your track so it connects with listeners and tells a story.
