Lazy Keys (aka Matthew Shaffner) is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and engineer with a background in a wide array of genres including Indie/Alternative Rock, Hip Hop, RnB, Funk, Disco, and more. Singing and writing music is one of my greatest passions. I've been singing since i was 8 and now being 25 have yet to lose the drive for it. recently made the decision to take music on full-time because doing anything else just wasn't fulfilling. music is the reason i roll out of bed every morning so its time i surrender completely to it.
At my core, I'm a mix engineer, but in a modern musical world the lines between mixing and production can get blurry. I work right in that blur. I started as a recording artist and a producer, and eventually moved into mixing. I don't mix a song without bringing that prior experience of recording artist and producer with me.
