My name is Chris Hyde. I'm a full time musician currently based in Seattle, WA but soon to be in the New York City area. I've been practicing, performing, and recording guitar for over twenty years. After 10 years as studio engineer, I needed to go back to my original passion...so I've been mixing live sound for major productions, festivals and international artists now for over 40 years. Music is made of notes, but the challenge is getting those notes to everyone's ears to match the listener's taste.
Taught myself guitar & started writing lyrics & songs at 14, as a fan of singer/songwriter styles of the 60's & 70's, (obliviously influenced by my dad's 70's mix tapes, playing' in the car). I'm also a fan of melodic, powerpop music! I have an appetite for writing catchy melodies with simple, but thoughtfully constructed lyrics.
