I am a freelance recording and mixing engineer currently based out of Los Angeles, California. I spent the first 10 years of my career working in Seattle out of studios such as Robert Lang, Orbit Audio, and Fastback Studios. There isn't a genre or recording situation I haven't encountered.

Hi , I'm Mike Smith and I specialise in production and programming. I've worked on many projects as producer/engineer or programmer and have credits on over 30 albums and numerous singles/ep's. I can help manage your project from raw song to final mix either in my project studio or in a larger facility for that ultimate polish.

Female vocals, harmony composition and singing including both traditional and complex harmonies, I also can play a few different instruments: rhythm guitar, ukulele, electric bass, some upright bass, some piano, assorted percussion. I compose music too: folk, pop, and rock songs.

I'm a Grammy Award Winner (MTV Unplugged) who recorded studio and live albums, a huge bunch of singles and toured with several artists for +25 years, including Julieta Venegas's band (2004/2013) around Europe, USA and all Americas Continent. Warwick & Fender clinician (Argentina 1995/1998). Since 2006 I'm CEO on CASA POP!!! recording studios.

I am an experienced audio engineer with nearly twenty years under my belt in the industry. I specialise in recording and mixing, and am equally happy working digitally, fully analog or a mixture of two. I am adept at getting a punchy, organic sound from the source - I like bold sounds and like my productions to be three-dimensional and exciting!
