Makoto is drummer based in Los Angeles. He has been fortunate enough to work with some major artists including Gwen Stefani, Eve, Rickie Lee Jones, and Missing Persons just to name a few. He also has had the chance to play with great musicians in Los Angeles like Michael Landau, John Beasley, Jimmy Johnson, Jimmy Haslip, and Armand Sabal-Lecco.

With 8 years of experience on the guitar, I have played many studio sessions for hundreds of artists/projects. My specialty is lead guitar lines, improv, and finding bright melodies. Or, offering an easy going acoustic feel.

I can play any style on a variety of keyboard instruments. I have dedicated my life to studying and mastering piano styles and techniques around the globe. I am also a composer and songwriter, so creating the perfect part for your song is my speciality. I will also play pre-written parts. I am a openminded and thoughtful collaborator.
