I think mixing and mastering should be approached in the same way as playing an instrument or singing a song. If you sing a song and you don’t feel the song or connect with the song you are singing, the performance is not going to be as strong, The audience has the ability to detect that lack of energy and engagement.

I’ll drum whatever you want into a lovely old Slingerland/Ludwig kit w/ old Zildjian cymbals using good (but not precious) mics & Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 through LogicPro. I’m no expert as an engineer but I can make things sound better than good enough.
