You are the priority. "With our powers combined..." we can create something great.

KISA Beats is the team of Michael Gilmour and Matt Dernlan, two music production professionals who have received radio airplay and landed multiple sync licensing deals for their songs. Interview with KISA Beats

  1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  2. A: This is where it's great having two producers on your team! Matt is great with beats (used to drum in punk bands) and has a knack for inserting very eclectic sounds into a mix without them feeling out of place. Mike is a master of many things but his finishing skills are really next level. Hand him a demo and he'll hand you back a true slapper of a track.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: Mike and I each have rather robust setups. Both are custom PC builds (we're nerds) with assortments of hardware attached. We do our audio processing through Eleven Racks, we compose mostly with our Maschines (and keyboards) and we do most of our finishing in Pro Tools.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: Front to back end to end make a song (minus vocals) is our bread and butter. We love building a beat, crafting the chords, and handing files back and forth with our clients to ensure we're all rowing in the same direction.
