I am primarily an electronic UK based artist. I have worked with other artist tracks as a Producer, Remixer and session musician. I can work on your tracks in a variety of styles from Pop, EDM, Electronic, Rock, Dance
I mainly play keys and have a wide range of synthesizers to help your recordings (Roland Fantom 8, Roland V-Synth XT, DSI Prophet Rev2, Roland System 8, Novation UltraNova, Behringer Deepmind 12, Moog Sub 37 and Various Soft Synths), I work with Logic Pro and Cubase mainly.

Interview with Andrew Ellison (Eltronn)
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently working on Demo's for a follow up to my debut release last year album, also an EP as a start to the new album.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I've owned some good gear over the years, it would have to be my mac and my Roland Studio Capture soundcard, along with the Prophet 6, Nord Stage 3 and probably the Prophet X XL
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Electronic Avant Garde, is close but normally other people best describe my style than I can.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Would have loved to have worked with Prince, an artist who brought something unique. Would like to work with any artist that explores something that brings a unique experience.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio changes often, but currently i'm working on a Mac running Logic Pro and Cubase with various plugins, my outboard gear consists of an SE X1 Mic, complimented with a fair bit of Roland Gear, the Integra 7, V-Synth XT, System 8 plug out synth with the SH2 plugout and the Jupiter 50. I also own a Prophet 6 and Deepmind 12 for that analogue sound I also have the Novation UltraNova and bass station 1
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Worked with an artist recently on a song, none of us had anything at that point we discussed the idea, I came up with the Skeletons of a song over a weekend and within 5 days back and forth between us we had a finished product, we're looking to release it as a collaboration shortly. Sometimes finding the right person you can bounce ideas of each other pretty quickly and work much quicker too.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I've worked with quite a few just take a look at my feedback I would recommend them all.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Depends on the situation, to be fair Analog has it's sweet spots but I can produce a lot from Digital that you can't even do with Analog gear.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That is will listen and try and do the best that I can and add something that little extra that they are looking for.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love doing what I do, keeps the creative mind going.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long will it take? My answer would be - When do you need it by?
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I Know what I'm Doing. Joking aside it's true in a way in this job we're always learning and working with other people and different styles your learning all the time.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What music do they listen to? What Inspires them?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try and be specific but also don't be frightened of asking for the impossible sometimes you never know. Also no matter how rough or vague your idea might be a provider could turn that vague idea into something magical.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started remixing for other artists off and on around 10 years ago, although I've been working on Demo's for my own work and for others since the mid 90's to be honest, it's only recently with access to independent releases and artists needing record labels less has work been published and released.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don;t over do it, try and use as less equipment has possible to start with and add things little by little specially in the days of countless plugins and effects that's available.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Normally electronic based tracks, although recently i've been working on soundtrack type stuff.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Bringing atmosphere into a track.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My Style, I do have a certain style of writing songs and producing which may be leftfield at times, I try to bring a sense of "Wow I didn't think of that", I also bring together the normal commercial elements for those that need it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: This depends on what I'm working on, for remix work I tend to get a feel of the original and strip it right back to normally only using the vocal and small bits from the original changing the style completely. For Production I try to get a sense on what the artist wants, reference songs are key to this to get their view, sometimes working remotely it can be hard to get across your thoughts for a track, so reference tracks are ideal.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have a very varied mix of inspiration from Pink Floyd, Prince to Gary Numan and Depeche Mode
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I've mostly done remix work up until now turning their originals into something completely different. Working with other artists on my forthcoming debut album I've also managed to contribute programming and electronic tracks for other artists also recently.
