Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: One of my favorites was mixing and producing for Lecrae’s team. It was a high-pressure, high-level project where I had to deliver fast and precise. Knowing the impact the message carried made the technical side that much more rewarding.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: A 13-song Latin worship project called Adoración en Casa, blending classic corritos with modern production. It’s deeply personal and powerfully spiritual.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: Yes—depending on the need, I’ve got a small circle of vocalists, writers, and session musicians I trust. I only refer people I’d use on my own records.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both. I’m digital for workflow speed and recall, but I use analog-modeled gear (like SSL) for warmth and vibe. Best of both worlds.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: You’ll be heard, understood, and respected. I’ll treat your song like it’s my own, and I won’t stop until it feels right.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Helping artists feel heard. There’s nothing like seeing someone light up when their vision comes to life in the speakers.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: “Can you make my song sound like [insert artist]?” Yes—but better. I’ll honor your reference, but I’m focused on making you sound like you, not a carbon copy.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That I just press buttons. Mixing and production is like translating emotion into frequency. It’s not just technical—it’s spiritual, emotional, and artistic all at once.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: 1. What’s the message behind your song? 2. Who are your inspirations? 3. How do you want people to feel when they hear this? These help me bring your sound to life, not just deliver a mix.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Don’t just hire someone for skill—hire someone who cares about the vision. Chemistry, clarity, and communication matter as much as the final bounce.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I started out producing and engineering out of my bedroom over a decade ago, and I’ve built my own full-time business since 2017. I’ve worked with major artists like Snoop Dogg, The Game, Lecrae, and Andy Mineo, all from my home studio using just headphones and heart.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Cinematic, soulful, and clean. I blend live and digital textures, always making space for vocals to shine. Think: gospel roots with modern clarity, urban polish with emotional depth.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I’d love to work with someone like Maverick City Music or Kirk Franklin. They bring together raw worship with modern production—it’s kingdom music that hits the heart and the charts. That blend is exactly what I love to create.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Emotion > Perfection. If it doesn’t move you, it won’t move anyone else. Focus on capturing a moment, not just cleaning up a take. Don’t over-polish the soul out of it.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Translating an artist’s voice into a professional sound. I know how to make you sound like you, just elevated—cleaner, tighter, and emotionally impactful.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I specialize in gospel, Christian, Latin, hip-hop, and R&B, but I’ve worked across the board—from trap to CCM to cinematic ballads. If it’s soulful or message-driven, I’m in my element.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Clarity, conviction, and cohesion. Whether I’m producing or mixing, I bring a sense of structure, space, and storytelling. My goal is always to make your message hit—both sonically and emotionally.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I work from a treated studio with an Apollo X4, SSL UC1 & UF8 console, Audeze LCD-X headphones, tons of outboard gear, and my m4 Mac mini Pro & MacBook Pro M1 when on Tour. I mix mostly on High-end Audeze headphones but I’ve tuned my space to translate clean across any system. It’s lean, powerful, and built for high-quality delivery on the go.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: Mixers like Jaycen Joshua, Manny Marroquin and Producers like Timbaland, Larrance Dopson (1500 or Nothin’), Kato on the Track, and Tommy Profit inspire me. They each have that signature sound but still stay versatile—exactly what I aim to do in my work.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I handle full-service production, mixing, and mastering—often taking a raw idea or demo and turning it into a polished, radio-ready release. A lot of my clients come to me for vocal-heavy tracks where clarity, emotion, and depth are key.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: We start with a pre-production call or creative brief to align on the vision. From there, I build the instrumental or prep your mix, depending on the service. You get check-ins at key points, and I revise based on your feedback until it’s exactly what it needs to be.
