Bassist for Iggy Pop, Marc Almond, Razorlight and lots more
I have a 20 year history of creative work with some of the coolest names in the rock n roll canon. I've worked and continue to work with Iggy Pop, Marc Almond, Anna Calvi, Razorlight, Brix Smith, Swervedriver, The Catherine Wheel, Josefin Öhrn, Henry Rollins, Grace Jones and lots of other lovely weirdos you probably haven't heard of.
I'm really into getting the details right and I want to find the coolest parts and tone to complement your music. Whether that's something minimalist and classic or a groove with a nice melody or a big hard hitting sonic boom of valves and volume. The possibilites are endless, fun and rewarding. I love bringing different flavours to modern pop, hip hop and electronic music as well as more traditional genres.
Drop me a line with some details of what your working on and we can find the perfect bass line to fit your project.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Ben both professionally and creatively. His playing, knowledge and awareness of what a song needs is outstanding and his ability to take a song to a higher place is amazing. He has an uncanny knack of being able nail the sound you never knew you needed :) He's a legend.
I met Ben in 2019 when we booked him to mix a live gig in London for Park Hotel. We liked what he did there so much that we asked him to come and play bass for Razorlight! It's great to have a bassist with an appreciation for the bigger musical picture and the ability to understand and adapt to the sonic palette of an established artist. Ben is very easy to work with and always willing to go the extra mile for the group.
"I've known and worked with Ben since 2014 with Iggy Pop and more recently with another one of our clients Sharon Corr. Whether the music is loud and raucous or quiet and sensitive Ben always brings something musical and interesting to proceedings. He works with great energy and enthusiasm to bring detailed elements to the production. Ben is highly recommended and very nice person to work with"

I can normally turn a song around in 2 to 3 days. I'll first send mp3s then on approval complete WAV files of all the recorded parts. I'll comp and edit and am happy to revise until you're happy.
