I had the most beautiful experience working with Glenn!! he sent me a beautiful song to work on and we connected right away. He gave me a lot of freedom to create, and trusted my interpretation and feelings towards the song. Besides he is super kind, easy going and clear with communication. It was such a pleasure! Glenn was one of the most receptive people I have ever collaborated with. This really felt like a conjoined effort to make the song the best that it could be and I felt like I was apart of something very special. You can feel the genuineness radiating from him, there was no attachment if it meant the song could flow better. Anyone considering working with him would have a very talented guitar player alongside a harmonious experience during your creative process. This was a real pleasure.

Glenn has been very pleasant to work with! He’s definitely one of my favorite clients. He’s really responsive and detailed which makes my job so easy. His progressions are very complex with an edgy and cool sound! I found his song quite challenging to write to and in my opinion the more challenging the song is, the better. We were able to create a very unique and emotional song. I HIGHLY recommend working with Glenn and I hope to work with him again soon!

Interview with Glenn Angell
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please listen to the songs I co-wrote Hold On, Sad Affair, or in Have to You project: Deep in the Night, Erika, and with Drowning Mind project: No More Looking Back. If these sounds, vibes sound like something you'd like on your song, then I would probably be good fit for your song project.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will be patient, open, and flexible and will work with you to give you the performance you need on your song.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Is the song finalized? Or still a work in progress? Are you open to my creative input? Do you have reference tracks I could hear?
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: True collaboration in songwriting and co-writing parts in songs that are all about simplicity, feel, and emotion. I prefer a minimalist approach to coming up with beats, chords, pads and bass parts which gives the singer a lot of space for lyric writing and singing original melodies, harmonies, and ad libs.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Writing acoustic pop guitar parts.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to write and record a song with Carah Faye, singer in Shiny Toy Guns. Her voice is very emotive and moves me and she would sound great with my songs, I think! I absolutely love her voice in the STG songs Waiting Alone and If I Lost You, some of my all time favorite songs. I was lucky enough to see STG and meet her in person which was fun. /// I would have loved to have written and recorded a song or LP with David Bowie! He is a major inspiration to me and I really admire his diverse range of styles and sounds he was able to come up with and incorporate into his sound and vision, particularly from 1975-1980 period. His songs such as Golden Years, TVC15, Stay, and Ashes to Ashes are some of the best songs I've ever heard...incredible! I feel very fortunate indeed to have seen David Bowie live!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: David Bowie, Chvrches, ABBA, Blue Oyster Cult, Concrete Blonde, Gareth Emery, Christina Novelli, Tears for Fears, Killing Joke, Desmond Dekker, Kraftwerk, The Clash, Shiny Toy Guns, U2, Big Country, Neil Young, Echo & The Bunnymen,
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Alternative Rock, Acoustic-Pop, and Electronic music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Simple, direct only following and supporting the emotion of the lead vocal and the mood and vibe of the song.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Singer-songwriters Ivy Marie, Shelby Noble, Tara Louise, Maisie May, Honey-B-Sweet and Pilar Icazuriaga. Electronic Producer Chris Schweizer.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, bass and snare drum and small acoustic piano
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Songwriting with Shelby Noble on our original song Hold On. This was my first acoustic release I was part of and it was a true collaboration that I both enjoyed and learned from. Shelby's voice is so beautiful on the song. Give it a listen! spotify:album:2dZM4jsuoEPpHl97daGCNg
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just finished songwriting with singer-producer Maisie May on an original acoustic song that's very heartfelt and personal to me. Maisie really breathed life into the song with her beautiful voice and poetic lyrics! As of 8/12/2022, it's about to be released any day now.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Writing and playing parts that only support the emotion and vibe of the song, nothing more.
