Hi I'm Jean-Marc (J-M-T). I have 15+ years of vocal exp. & 7+ years in LA writing for artists & producers and I have millions of plays across multiple platforms. I can either write you a full song, topline your productions/beats, just write the lyrics or sing the hell out of your vocals!

Music should hit you straight in the HEART, make you DANCE or both & I want to help you do that! I'm Originally from the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago) so music is in my DNA; whatever genre or your vocal needs are, I GOT YOU! I studied voice & songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA but also how music affects the body, mind & spirit (Music Therapy).

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The song "Unlabeled" that I wrote with an artist called ISABELLE. I got to be not only the writer but I had a lot of creative input in the tone of the music video as well and it was cool to see the song through all the various stages of reincarnation!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My own music and Songs for my Duo Project Me an Di with Diana Inez (also on SoundBetter)
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How fast can I get this back? and the answer is as soon as my schedule permits but if you have a pressing deadline please always let me know and we can work something out!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Solar power generator, my MacBook Pro, My AKG Mic & My Apollo Twin and my guitar (FULL ONE STOP ISLAND SHOP)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been singing since I could talk but professionally over 15 years, so I've spent a long time honing both my voice and my writing skills and I've been working with artists, musicians and producers in LA for over 7 years helping them bring their vision to fruition
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Bass is your best friend so make sure it SLAPS
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Once we confirm I get started right away. I will send a verse and chorus as soon as it is complete for direction and approval and once we are on the same page vibe wise I will complete it and polish it and send it back for revisions/ final approval
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That creativity is easy! I believe creativity is a muscle that we have to exercise in order to sharpen our skills. It's the culmination of raw talent, time spent on it but also all the life experiences that we've been through that all mix together when we allow the muse to take over.

A: Whats the emotions you hope that people feel when listening to this song? What's the story you want to tell?

A: A world music sensibility, great ear for melody and rhythm, a love of words & a lot of soul

A: I have a studio set up at home to ensure quick turnarounds

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Don't make me choose please! They both have their place depending on the record. Digital provides convenience and opportunity but you can't beat that analog warmth and tone (but you can also create that digitally now cuz technology is AMAZING). I have a deep respect for both

A: Originality, heart & soul, professional quality & authenticity. Also I promise to use all the information and references you give me to create something that we both can be proud of.

A: The opportunity to help others tell their story while also getting to put a little piece of mine in there as well. The synergy is my favorite part
