my name's mike, you probably know me better as Former Hero, my primary alias for releasing music. I've been making music since I was 11 years old, and in more recent years was able to make it a full-time profession for myself.
i pride myself on being as hands on with my own music as possible, from being 100% of the music creation process (writing/engineering/mixing/mastering) to handling the vast majority of the art myself. it's taught me a large breadth of techniques and tricks to making music feel as expressive and emotional as possible.
back in 2021 i put out my debut album 'footpaths', and last year i put out a followup EP called 'meadowdeath'. if you like the production/engineering on these projects, then i'd love to help bring some of the magic from those releases to yours!
