Instead of applying a cookie cutter approach to mixing and mastering I truly listen to your reference track, and only do the necessary processing, using my hand built analog tools and a compliment of the latest plugins. The song comes first, always.
I started as a self employed studio engineer in 2004. Four years later I was partner in a professional studio based around a DDA AMR24 36/24/24, lots of outboard gear and a plethora of microphones (a pair of vintage valve Neumann U47's among them). These days I work in the box from home, producing, mixing and consulting on music and production.
