My name is Stefan Palen, I am a composer/arranger/trombonist/keyboardist located in teh DMV. I have studied w/Bobby Watson, Chen Yi, Zhou Long, Marcus Lewis, Joe Dee Davis, Steve Deeker, Greg Boyer and Mark A. Hardy. Currently I am recording my first album featuring: Deletta Gillespie , Greg Boyer, Tyler leak and many Washington dc locals.

I love getting in front of a mic and singing over a great arrangement, whether the line is one I wrote or the work of another songwriter. I work iteratively and connect with a range of styles. I'm Brud Giles, a recording and mixing engineer with over 16 years of experience. I own and operate Fremont Recording in Portland, OR. since 2010. I take a balanced approach to mixing and always put the the song first. My favorite drummer is Ringo because he played for the song, likewise I mix for the song.
