Multifaceted cellist and string arranger, with extensive experience in recording for the motion picture industry, pop, classical music, video games, and television. Karen excels in recording and composing original string arrangements tailored to your project's needs, as well as delivering high quality cello stems.
Cellist Karen Yeh has recorded for the motion picture industry and her list of credits include Frozen 2, It: Chapter 2, and Mulan (2020). Television show recordings include Fargo, Around the World in 80 Days, and BBC’s One Planet: Seven Worlds. Most recently she recorded for the DC Universe movies, Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Delving into the world of pop, she has recorded for artists such as Leslie Odom Jr. and performed live with musical giants Sting, Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson, and Hozier.
Karen has extensive performance experience, earning degrees in music from Northwestern University, Indiana University Bloomington, and University of California Santa Barbara. She currently freelances in Los Angeles where she has the pleasure of collaborating with film composers, singer songwriters, video game composers, instrumentalists and music producers. She has composed string parts for various genres including pop, true crime documentaries, and movie trailers.
In addition to working at major sound stages, Karen has a home studio which allows her to collaborate with composers, artists, and producers, regardless of their location. She can deliver high quality stems in both raw and mixed form, helping producers streamline the completion of their projects.
