Keys on SoundBetter

Melodic Rap & Trap Producer | Clean Hard-Hitting Mixes | Full Song Production Every track is built intentionally — from beat design to vocal engineering and final mix — creating records that feel powerful, polished, and emotionally driven. Controlled delivery. Layered production. Engineered for clarity and impact.

I’m Keys — a hip-hop producer, engineer, and recording artist focused on modern melodic rap, dark trap, and atmospheric hip-hop.

My work centers on building records from the ground up: concept development, beat production, vocal recording guidance, mixing, and final polish.

I focus heavily on tone, vocal presence, and spatial depth so every record feels powerful without sounding cluttered. The goal is simple: a mix that hits hard, translates everywhere, and keeps the emotion of the performance intact.

Artists work with me when they want a record that feels intentional, cinematic, and professionally engineered.

Services include:

• Custom beat production
• Full song production (beat + arrangement)
• Vocal recording guidance and direction
• Mixing and vocal engineering
• Hooks, features, or rap verses
• Song arrangement and sound design

Whether you're building your first single or finishing an album record, I help bring the track to its full potential.

Interview with Keys

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: My goal is to deliver a record that sounds professional, balanced, and true to the artist’s vision.

  3. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  4. A: Artists usually ask how they can make their vocals sound clearer or more professional. The biggest improvement usually comes from strong vocal performance, good recording levels, and leaving space in the mix for the vocal to sit naturally.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: Many people think mixing is just about plugins and volume. The real work is shaping space, tone, and dynamics so every part of the song supports the vocal and the energy of the record.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: I usually ask for a demo, reference tracks, and the mood or direction they want for the record. Knowing the artist’s vision early helps me shape the production and mix so the final song feels intentional and polished.

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Find someone who understands your sound and communicates clearly. A great mix or production isn’t just technical — it’s about capturing the emotion and direction of the record. Reference tracks always help us get there faster. Look for someone who understands your sound and communicates clearly. The best records come from collaboration, clear direction, and trusting the process from production to final mix.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: Melodic, atmospheric, and intentional. I like production that feels cinematic with strong drums, layered melodies, and a mix that gives the vocal space while still hitting hard.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: Always leave space in your mix. A track sounds bigger when every element has its own place instead of everything competing for the same frequencies.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: Most of my work is in hip-hop, melodic rap, and modern trap production. I work with artists who want cinematic production, strong drums, and clean vocal mixes that still feel emotional and authentic. I also work on atmospheric hip-hop, darker trap records, and melodic rap songs where the production and mix need to hit hard but still leave space for the vocal performance.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: My strongest skill is balancing production and engineering. I understand how to build the energy of a track while keeping the mix clean, powerful, and focused on the vocal.

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: I focus on emotional tone, space in the mix, and strong rhythm. The goal is to make the record feel intentional and polished while still keeping the artist’s energy and identity at the center.

  21. Q: What's your typical work process?

  22. A: I start by listening to the artist’s vision and reference tracks to understand the direction. From there I build or refine the production, focus on vocal clarity and tone, and shape the mix so everything translates well across speakers and headphones.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: My setup centers around Ableton Live and FL Studio with Waves and UAD processing. I use custom vocal chains, saturation layers, and detailed drum programming to create mixes that are both modern and powerful.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: ABBA, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Andre 3000, Prodigy, ODB, Neil Young, Alchemist, Brittney Spears, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, NSYNC, Dreamstreet

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: Most clients come to me for full hip-hop or trap production, mixing, and vocal engineering. I help build records from the ground up — beat design, vocal direction, and a final mix that hits hard while staying clean and balanced.
