Think of how a pianist plays a piano, or a drummer hits a drum kit; I use knobs, switches and buttons. Ali became Head Engineer at Terminus where he worked with amazing producers such as Eddie Kramer, Neil Dorfsman, Ted Hutt, and countless talented artists and bands.

I started my career as an Assistant Engineer at both Vogville Recorders and The Armoury Studios, eventually moving on to a successful freelance career and becoming the Head Engineer at Greenhouse Studios from 2013-2015. I am one of the operators of Vancouver's Rain City Recorders (www.raincityrecorders.com) and am also the Studio Manager.
What am I doing here
40 years in the music business playing all styles of music. I have a great ear for making up the right guitar part to accompany your tune. I played guitar (and arranged the horns and strings) on Astrud Gilberto's last 2 CD's ("Temperance" and "Jungle"). Very comfortable in both Brazilian and American styles.
Wrote, recorded and released first single in July 2018. Familiar with hit-song writing skills and pop music.
